"CSA" stands for Community-Supported Agriculture. This farming model that allows people buy local, seasonal produce directly from an area farmer. Not only does this mean easy access to
affordable natural food, but also the opportunity to support
environmentally-friendly farming practices, and the ability to bolster
local small-business.
CSAs originated in the United States in the 1980’s, and are becoming a popular way for people in rural and urban areas alike to “reconnect” with the source of their food and “eat with the seasons”. Produce that is grown naturally, locally, and sustainably makes for a more fruitful, flavorful life for farmers and food-lovers alike!
